Legal Status in Idaho
All native reptiles and amphibians are considered protected wildlife (see regulations); protected wildlife cannot be collected or kept without a hunting license (for personal use) or a commercial collecting permit. Personal use is limited to four animals per species. Captive-bred offspring of wild-caught animals are not protected.
